Mangalore, Oct 7: The police sources confirmed the death of a person on Saturday October 7 morning, during the ongoing violence spree in and around the city.
The deceased has been identified as Gafoor, a resident of Sullia. He was reportedly stabbed by a mob at Anegundi near Bijai here. Other than this there have not been any reports of violence or damage to public property in any area. Situation is under control and police and the para military forces are patrolling the city continuously.
The police have assured not to panic about anything and at the time not to pay attention to any rumours that have been going around from person to persons specially through SMS and mobile calls.
