Mangalore, Oct 10: The state government's move to empower the Chikmaglur district administration to take decision on Shobha Yatra in Datta Peetha  received flak from state president of Samajwadi Party S Bangarappa.

He was addressing the convention of Samajwadi Party here on Sunday October 8.  Condemning the decision, he termed the government as spineless. 

He further said that the Party has decided to contest for the Chamundeshwari assembly by-polls. The party will not ally with any political party and the same will hold good for general elections also, he said.

Among those present were former legislator Rukmaiah Poojary, Samajwadi Party district unit president Ashok Suvarna and others.
