41st National Junior Kabaddi C'ships to be held at Manjeshwar

Kasargod, Oct 9: "The 41st National Junior Kabaddi Championship games are proposed to be held at Manjeshwar Govinda Pai Memorial Government College grounds from December 26 to December 30." said president A K M Ashraf in a news conference.

The tournaments to be held under the aegis of Kerala Kabaddi Association, Kasargod District Kabaddi Association and Manjeshwar Kabaddi Academy will be inaugurated by cricketer Anil Kumble. Union ministers, ministers of Karnataka and Kerala state and elite people will be present.

29 male and female teams from different states in the country will participate. The competition will be held on a league basis on synthetic mat for the first time. A gallery to accommodate 25,000 people has been constructed. The brochure of the Championship will be
released by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bangalore on October 9.

Ministers U T Khader and B Ramanath Rai will be present. The sports flag will be inaugurated by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala in a
programme to be held on October 12 in Kasargod. MLA P B Abdul Razak will also be present.

An organizing committee of 501 members has been formed for the success of the
Championship. Minister U T Khader, MP P Karunakaran, Nalin Kumar
Kateel, MLA P B Abdul Razak, A K M Ashraf, M Sudheer Kumar, Praveen
Raj and others are the office bearers.

M Sudheer Kumar, Pravin Raj, Sukhesh Bhandary, Suresh Shetty, Manaf
Nullippady and Ansar were present in the Press Conference held in
Kasargod Press Club.
