Mangalore: 'CLEAN CAMP-US' organized at AIMIT

Mangalore, Oct 11: As a part of Swachcha Bharath Abhiyan, the students and faculty of MBA took initiative and cleaned the surrounding areas from Beeri junction to Madoor on Friday October 10.

Panchayath president Shekar Kanninthota inaugurated and delivered the keynote address in presence of the Chairman of MBA Fr Ozwald Mascarenhas SJ.

More than 200 students participated in the Abhiyan by collecting trash from the streets and filling the potholes because Aloysians believe in youth as catalyst for change.

    I remember, during my childhood once a week an hour for each class of students entrusted with the school in and around house keeping duty. Our Parents used to prepare us accordingly ( Rags for cleaning, Soap to wash hand after cleaning etc) We really used to enjoy the and keep waiting for the next week to come. The whole School Premise used to be neat and Clean.End of the Period Teacher used to give us a chocolate !
    When I grew-up, I came across news in the newspaper that modern Mummy daddys fighting with the School Management, for making their child to clean the school!
    What is changed ? Time or mankind ?
