Dr. Shivarama Karanth Born and Gone at Kota.

Being born in an orthodox Brahmin family (in local language Katta Sampradaayavadi Brahmanara kutumba), he played down all sorts of activity of PLEASING GOD.

He was a pure atheist. He daringly questioned the meaningless rituals of all sorts everywhere in stage and in his writings.

He was un-successful in turning the orthodox belives of KOTA (his birth place) itself.

His own society not implemented scientific temper he has been pressing for decades as long as his last journey.

I have witnessed his last funeral procedures which went against his views.. If at all he was alive, he will not agree to that. People don't know to do it in a different way as per the Karanths ideologies. They did what they know.

Now the people go in procession in Karanths name. Kota S. Poojary, Former minister not left a single temple without visiting after becoming Mujarai Minister. This fellows work was deadly against Karanths views.

I don't know how many silk shawls this Poojary posess now at his home gifted by temples after his every visit...
