Mangalore: Time keeper beaten up for clicking girl's photo

Mangalore, Oct 15: A time keeper stationed at Karnad bus stand for keeping watch over buses moving on Mulky ­Moodbidri route was taken in a car and beaten up reportedly by relatives of a girl whose photo had been clicked by him without her permission. The victim has been identified as Praveen.

It is said that on Monday morning, Praveen had taken a photograph of a girl waiting for a bus for Kinnigoli at Karnad bus stand. It is said that the girl, who noticed this act, approached him and asked him to delete her photo. Locals said that the time keeper spoke arrogantly and refused to heed to her request.

The girl conveyed the information to her relatives. On Monday evening, some persons who represented the girl came to Karnad bus stand took Praveen in their car. After taking him to a secluded spot, they reportedly assaulted him.
