New Delhi, Oct 20 (IANS): Hockey fans will get to see the prestigious Champions Trophy matches, to be held Dec 6-14 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, with the cheapest ticket costing only Rs.20 while the least-expensive ticket for the knock-out rounds will cost Rs.50.
The tickets will be available on www.ticketgenie.in Monday onwards and will range from Rs.20 to Rs.200.
Hockey India (HI) president Narinder Batra hopes that fans will pack the 7,000-seater stadium.
"The young and enthusiastic spectators want to witness such international matches being played in our country. Also with an increasing number of state and national level hockey players hailing from Odisha and a huge fan base in the state, we are sure of a packed stadium for every match throughout the tournament," Batra said.
The nine-day event will see eight top-ranked teams fighting it out for the title, playing a total of 24 matches.
The teams have been divided in two pools with Pool A featuring World Champions Australia, England, Belgium and Pakistan while India are placed in Pool B alongside the Netherlands, Germany and Argentina.
