Delhi driver dies while trying to save jaywalker


New Delhi, Oct 25 (IANS): A 25-year-old driver was killed while trying to save a jaywalker here, police said Saturday.

Ashwini Kumar died after his car hit another car and crashed into a footpath in the Connaught Place area in central Delhi late Friday, police said.

Police said Kumar, who was returning from office, lost control of the vehicle while trying to save a man crossing the road.

Kumar was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
