Indian Oil official goes missing in Assam


Guwahati, Oct 27 (IANS) A senior official of Indian Oil Sunday went missing from Assam's Tinsukia district, police said.

Kaushik Borah, executive director-designate of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited's Assam Oil Division, went missing in Digboi in the afternoon, they said.

Borah's car was found abandoned near the district's Pengiri reserve forest.

Police launched an operation to locate Borah after his family lodged an FIR.

"According to the family, Borah has been missing after he left his office today (Sunday). We have launched an operation to trace him," said Superintendent of Police A.K. Singh.
