Margao, Oct 31: With a view to giving a boost to new writers, Konkani Bhasha Mandal have announced the All Goa Konkani poetry-writing competition for young poets, in memory of the renowned late poet Bakibab Borkar, as part of its annual schedule.

The rules and regulations of this competition are as follows:

• Age limit 15 to 25 years
• Each participant can send three Konkani poems in triplicate.
• Poem should not exceed 250 words and should be clearly hand written on one side of the paper or neatly typed
• Poems already published are not eligible

The selection panel will choose five best poems and prizes will be given away to winners on November 30 on the occasion of poet B B Borkar birth anniversary and Bakibab Borkar Memorial Kavyotsav.

Interested participants should send their poems by November 15 to Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Konkani Bhavan, Shankar Bhandari Marg, Vidyanagar, Margao, Goa.
