Mangalore, Nov 1: The Catholic Sabha of Cordel unit celebrated Elders’ Day on Wednesday Nov 1.
The programme was held in St Joseph’s School hall. Cashmir Menezes Beltangady former president of Catholic Sabha Central Council was the chief guest, while the programme was inaugurated by Fr Lawrence D’Souza parish priest of Holy Cross Church, Cordel.
Confession for elders was organized in the Holy Cross Church, which was followed by the holy Eucharist.
Marriet Pinto, president, Catholic Sabha, Cordel unit welcomed the gathering. Alban Pinto, Catholic Sabha secretary proposed the vote of thanks. Several games were conducted for the elderly of the parish.
Richard Alvares, vice president of Kulshekar church, Victor Vas, secretary and convenor Flavy D’Cunha were present on the dais. Joe Rego compered the programme.
