Russell Brand, Vivienne Westwood join Million Mask March

London, Nov 6 (IANS): Comedian Russell Brand and fashion designer Vivienne Westwood joined thousands of anti-capitalism protesters at Million Mask March here.

The masked demonstrators descended on Westminster for a Bonfire Night protest Wednesday, which was orchestrated to cause chaos throughout London, reports dailymail.co.uk.

Scores of riot police were on stand-by amid threats from campaign group Anonymous, that the demonstration would create a blockade in the city.

The protest saw activists wear masks depicting the sinister face of Guy Fawkes -- a mask made famous in the film “V for Vendetta”.

The protest was one of hundreds organised at the same time in cities around the world. Brand attended the same event last year too.
