Los Angeles, Nov 7 (IANS): Actress Rachel Bilson and her partner actor Hayden Christensen have been blessed with a daughter. They have named her Briar Rose Christensen.

The actress' representative confirmed the news Thursday .

“Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson welcome their daughter Briar Rose Christensen born on Oct 29, 2014,” the representative told E! News, mirror.co.uk reports.

The couple requested privacy following the birth, subscribing to the celebrity coalition No Kids Policy, which bans taking photographs of their children without consent. The representative also said that the first time mother and the newborn were “healthy and doing well”.

It's the couple's first baby, although the couple never officially confirmed the news, they were said to be "excited" at the prospect of welcoming a daughter.

A source previously said: “She's so excited to be having a baby girl. She's wanted it for a long time and is going to be an amazing mom. Everyone is ecstatic for her.”
