Hassan: Two girls mislead parents, police in 'rape attempt' case

Daijiworld Media Network – Hassan (RJP)

Hassan, Nov 9: Police in Hassan have revealed about a hoax rape attempt case registered by two students of a high school.

While unfortunately rapes on minors and students are being reported in the state on almost every day basis, the two girl students used it to spin a yarn. The 9th standard students of Siddartha high school in Hassan complained that a group of youth had tried to molest them behind the school while they were walking. When the girl shouted for help the youth hit them with blade. The girls narrated that their uniforms were torn and they sustained bruises on the hands in the clash with the youth. Later the youth had to run away when the girls spotted some known people coming on the same road, the girls said.

The police who took the issue very seriously made four teams to look into the matter and started the investigation immediately.

Within a day the police teams came to a conclusion that the girls had cooked up the story with an intention of not going to school for studies.

The girls are the residents of a locality of Hassan city. While the residents are in one way happy that such alleged thing did not happen, they are also worried about the impact of rape incidents on the minds of innocent girls in the state.

This reporting by the two girls is very ridiculous and extremely unfortunate and if by any chance they had submitted a fake FIR against someone then it could have been a Waterloo for the man . I think stringent actions are desired and the legislatives have to tackle this issue on a warfront basis . For example an impotent man could be implicated and to prove his innocence in the court of law which he may never be able to establish , but if a man is guilty then there is no question of sparing him and he should be subjected to life long solitary confinement. I think everybody remembers our own School days and think back of some excuses only not to go to School, like Holiday or teacher is not there or to go tosome feast. But here Girls also wanted to have a day free School.unfortunately they used a wrong but horrible excuse .they must have not realized what it can bring up the Problems. They should be taught it will not be tolerated in future and when it happens really nobody will come to help them ,and seriousness of it.Here Comes no question of minor or Major community.ONly a Girls childishness.

If you say Death for rape , then false complainants should also b given same punishment. Booking Innocent man and locking him up is more barbaric than rape. As false cases rising exponentially A Ministry For Welfare of Men and Their rights and Gender sensitisation of Anti Men Justice system should b priority.

Mr.Roshan Braganza, here these girls have faked a rape. I read in another paper that they did this to escape from going to school as they did not want to continue their studies. Well this is a grave mistake on their part and they should be strictly reprimanded and if possible, suitable punishment meted out as they should be made aware of the graveness of their mischief. Such fake complaints may result in Police viewing the genuine cases in future with doubt and hence delay the requisite action. As regards crying out for murder of rapists is in fact request for a deterrent as crimes of this kind are on a steep rise. The same with dowry related cases. However, now-a-days the females are filing fake cases in order to eke out compensation from their husbands. Here I feel the females too should be equally punished if found guilty, for sullying the names of their husbands and their respective families. Justice should be equal whether male or female

Girls sometimes are equally good & bad like boys.
Now the parents should be very vigilant about their hidden motives. Do not accept anything/everything for granted.

Karnataka police confirmed that girls purchased the blades from one of the shop themselves.

That means you don't trust Police and Home Minister of Karnataka.
