Udupi, Nov 10: Udupi district BJP Mahila Morcha staged a protest for seeking justice in the suspicious death case of Nanditha from Thirthahalli on 10th November near Clock tower Udupi here.
Sheela K Shetty condemned the increasing sexual harassment on women in the state. She said, this is a matter of shame and alleged that government has completely failed in controlling sexual abuses.
She urged that, there should be separate schools for girls. She demanded to provide security to girl children by the concerned department. She also asked the government to provide Karate training for girls.
The district BJP members demanded the resignation of primary and secondary education minister Kimmane Ratnakar and home minister K J George.
ZP President Savitha S Kotian opined that protest is becoming essential to wake up political persons and it seemed being woman was a matter of shame too.
She said that this issue would create panic atmosphere among public with insecurity about their kids. She stressed that the case be handed over to CBI for the further investigations.
"Both home minister and education Minister have to break their silence and take immediate measures for security in school
environment." she added.
Shyamala Kunder, State secretary, Reshma Uday Kumar, Geeta Shet, Sandhya Ramesh and Geethanjali Suvarna, were present on the stage during the protest.
