Mangalore, Nov 6: The Highway Patrol Squad on specific information conducted a raid at a shed belonging Janardhana Shetty in Bala village here on Nov 4. The team led by T R Jagannatha of Suratkal police station found 12 persons involved in gambling.
The police arrested them and seized cash Rs 5,067, six mobile phones and playing cards from them.
Narayna Shetty (58), Jainuddin (50), Sundara Poojary (37), Monappa Banjan (48), Naveen Pereira (38), Mohammed Sharif (35), Abdul Khadar (32), Wilson Menezes (36), Anil Kumar (32), Shankar Shetty, Abdul Saleem (29) and Mohammed Haneef (32) who were indulging in gambling have been arrested.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons in Suratkal police station.
