Mangalore, Nov 6: Two persons who had sustained serious burn injuries owing to gas leakage in a house at Karkera Compound at Bolurkatte on Friday November 3 night, died in the hospital on Sunday November 5.
Suresh Shetty (45) and Pramod (22) who were admitted to a hospital here succumbed to the injuries. Vinayak (6), the neighbouring boy who too had sustained burn injuries is recovering. Suresh Shetty was rickshaw driver by profession while Pramod was a cable worker. The latter was in Suresh's courtyard when the tragedy took place.
It is alleged that Suresh was filling gas to a small cylinder (used for autorickshaw) from the bigger cylinder which resulted in leakage. However, nothing is sure yet and Barke police are investigating the case.
