Udupi, Nov 8: Nagarika Seva Trust in association with Nandikuru Janajagrithi Vedike will organize a dharna at Nagarjuna power project site at Ellur-Nandikuru on Monday November 20, according to a press release.

The dharna will be staged in front of the deputy commissioner's office and will be inaugurated by Pejawar math seer Vishweshateertha at 10.30 am, the release stated.

Udupi MP Manorama Madhwaraj, Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon, former MLA Vasanth Salian, former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake, Dr Madhava Bhandary, Gangadhar Suvarna, zilla panchayat president B N Shankara Poojary, taluk panchayat president Shyamala Sudhakar, Ellur gram panchayat president Y Yashwath Shetty and others will take part in the dharna.

A dharna will also be staged in Bangalore in the coming days. A massive rally against the proposed Nagarjuna power project will also be organized here in the last week of December, the released stated.
