Bangalore, Nov 8: After dilly-dallying for a couple of months, the global aircraft major Airbus Industrie, has decided to set up its technology centre in Bangalore.

Top sources in the Industries and Commerce Department told this website's newspaper that European Aeronautic Defence and Space (EADS), the parent company of Airbus Industrie, made a formal application before the Government, seeking 25 acres land to set up the centre.

Sources said that the Government has decided to give required land near Devanahalli International Airport.

The company is planning to invest Rs 11,000 crore in the Bangalore centre and create 2,000 jobs in the next 15 years and it will start its operations in mid-2007, sources said.
