Chennai, Nov 20 (IANS): Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa plans to invest over 100 million euros in India over the next five years and would launch its 2 MW turbine, the company said here Thursday.
"Gamesa plans to invest over 100 million euros in India in the next five years. Our primary focus in India is to increase our manufacturing capability, developing our supply-chain and to increase our land bank to promote and develop wind farms," Ignacio Martin, executive chairman, Gamesa Group was quoted as saying in the statement issued here.
According to him, India is one of the top three markets for Gamesa contributing 27 percent of overall revenues in the third quarter of 2014.
The company would also launch 2MW turbine next year in the Indian market.
