Navi Mumbai, Nov 22 (IANS): Mumbai City FC will aim for three points at home when they take on Chennaiyin FC in the 10th round of the Hero Indian Super League at the D.Y. Patil stadium here Sunday.
The team suffered a heavy loss (1-5) against Chennaiyin FC away at Chennai earlier in the first leg.
Since the crushing loss, Mumbai City FC have maintained five straight clean sheets, winning twice and coach Peter Reid will demand nothing short of three points from his team as the race to secure semi-final spots hots up.
Mumbai City FC have 12 points from nine matches to be fourth in the standings while their opponents are at the top with 16 points from 9 games.
The return of striker Andre Moritz will add some much-needed bite to Mumbai City FC's floundering attack and Reid will hope that striker Nicolas Anelka will provide inspiration to the team.
"We have missed some opportunities, even in the last game. The league is wide open, with possibly seven teams who can make it to top four. Our aim is to not lose, but we got to start picking a couple of wins on our way," Mumbai City FC assistant coach Steve Darby said in a release.
