Kundapur, Nov 19: School Children and Dalit leaders on Saturday gheraoed the Government P U College, Kumbakona here opposing the alleged misbehaviour of a teacher.
According to sources a high school teacher one Prakash had allegedly assaulted Rakesh, an II PU student. It is said that the student misbehaved with the teacher when asking for a throw ball. Following this, the teacher physically assaulted him, it is said.
The student was taken to the neighbouring primary health centre for medical aid. It is also said that there very earlier instances where similar assaults were carried on by the teacher.
Local leaders visited the school on Saturday and children too protested against the physical assault. The protesters demanded an apology from the teacher.
