Sullia, Nov 21: Dr Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, the founder president of Academy of Liberal Education has been conferred with the prestigious "Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi Award."

The award is given by Bangalore-based International Integrity Peace and Friendship Society.  The award is being given for Dr Kurunji's contribution to the field of education and social awareness among the rural masses.

PVKR Vaidya of Kotakkal Ayurveda School too has been bestowed with ‘Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi Award’.  He has been conferred with the award for his ayurveda medicine Madhunashini which cures diabetes.
