Bantwal, Nov 21: St Vincent De Paul Society which works at the parish-level for the upliftment of poor families through various ways has made its way into Infant Jesus Church at Modankap near here.

The newly-formed SVP was launched at the church on Sunday November 19 morning.  The SVP was formally inaugurated by Fr Ronald Cutinha, spiritual director of SVP, Mangalore diocese.  SVP president Gilbert Pinto was the chief guest on the occasion.

Parish priest Fr Roque D'Sa, assistant parish priest Fr Arun Lobo, Bantwal deanery SVP members, Richard Monteiro, vice-president of parish council were also present on this auspicious occasion.

Fr Roque D'Souza welcomed and received the guests while Stanley D'Cunha proposed the vote of thanks. 

Following are the office-bearers of SVP Modankap:
President - Felix J Vaz
Vice-president - H S Fernandes
Secretary - Stanley D'Cunha
Asst Secretary - Alphonsus Pinto
Treasurer - Cyril D'Souza.
