Bangalore, Nov 21: Kannada director Kavitha Lankesh's film 'Tananam Tananam' is set to premiere Friday at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.

Girish Kasaravalli's 'Naayi Neralu' - selected in the Indian Panorama - will also be shown at the IFFI.

'Tananam Tananam' is a musical romance based on a story by legendary Tamil writer Kalki. The film will be featured in the commercial sector on the second day of the festival.

The festival officials are also planning to invite the film's producer N.M. Suresh, Lankesh and L. Subramaniam, the word-renowned violin maestro who has lent classical instrumental music to the film.

The film, screened in 18 international film festivals so far, stars Ramya, Rakshitha, Girish Karnad and Bharathi Vishnuvardhan.

Lankesh's debut film has won many prestigious national and international awards, including a state award for the best film.
