Mangalore, Nov 22: Karavali Utsav, the 45-day-long festivitites will be organized on the lines of Nada Habba. The Utsav exhibition ground, for the same has been given on a bid for Rs 69,99,999 as against Rs 44 lac last year

This was revealed during the preparatory meet chaired by district-in-charge Minister B Nagaraj Shetty.

Shetty, speaking to the press, said this year’s festivities will include Beach Utsav to attract tourist especially with fests like food fest cultural fest. These fests will be conducted in various places like Town Hall, T M A Pai Hall etc said Shetty.

Deputy Commissioner Maheshwar Rao said that the utsav will be organized in a very systematic manner and local talents will be given opportunity to show their talents while artistes of national repute will also be invited for the programme

The Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister will be invited to the festival which will be inaugurated on Dec 21.

Yogish bhat, Mangalore MLA, Vijaya Arun, Mayor, Na Damodar Shetty of Dasa Jana group and M K Seetharam Kulal, Tulu Sahithya Academy President were also present in the meet
