Mangalore, Nov 22: As part of  Suvarna Karnataka celebrations, the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy has planned to publish books on Konkani stalwarts of 20th century and Konkani culture.

Information and data gathered during six months of research work will be scrutinized by experts. The same will be brought out in the form of books and VCDs.

While the first book will consist of details about Konkani-speaking persons who have given commendable service in the field of Konkani and Kannada language, culture, education, business, freedom struggle, politics etc., the second book will be documented on the culture and customs of numerous Konkani sections.    

Research work will be funded by the Academy. Persons interested in research work having knowledge of Konkani language and experience in the relevant field, can send in their applications to the Registrar, Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, City Corporation Building, Lalbagh, Mangalore 575 003.
