Mangalore, Nov 23: K L Anande Gowda, Vigilance Director, Lokayukta, will undertake a two-day visit of Mangalore from November 23. 

According to a press release issued by Syed Riyaz, public relations officer, Karnataka Lokayukta, Gowda will discuss matters of civic importance raised by people during the public hearing conducted by Lokayukta Santosh N Hegde during his recent visit to the city.

Hegde had entertained complaints under the Lokayukta Act with regard to illegal constructions within Mangalore City Corporation limits. He had also assured the complainants that he would initiate action to minimise haphazard development within the city and act against constructions violating building plans approved by Mangalore City Corporation and Mangalore Urban Development Authority.

Those interested may meet Gowda on Friday at the Inspection Bungalow between 10 am and 1 pm. Forms can be had from the officer of Superintendent of Police (Lokayukta).
