Great - Indeed great. The rally reminded of my childhood days when I used to cycle to school in my Raleigh bicycle. I was also a very keen motor-cyclist too and have taken part in Motor rallies during my tenure in Madras. If I had only known that The Police Commissioner - Mr. Hitendra and his family were taking part in this rally, I too would have joined the sport.

    My congrats to the winners.

That was not cycle savari. It was stunt cycle show. The performers are experts who have participated in the championship in stunt cycling. Children at the venue have been advised NOT DO SUCH stunts unless special training is taken.

cycle path is secondary .. first let them make proper foot path .. and foot path specially for people to walk and not for road side vendors to have a luxury shop

Cycle Rallies should take place regularly because cycling is very healthy. Over 2,000 cyclists attended. According to scientific studies regular use of the bicycle acts against aging. ´Adults who exercise regularly riding a bicycle spend 10 times more acid than they would spend if they sit on the couch in front of TV. Acids are essential for the digestive system, and the more you practice your cycling the body stimulates better digestion. The people who the bicycle is a daily routine and have a faster metabolism because their body consumes more calories and they soon fading apart from the rest. The effect can discern only after several hours of driving, especially in the area of your breasts, thighs and buttocks. Cycling at a moderate pace, but also extreme mountain driving strengthens the muscles over the whole body, and mostly the legs. The bicycle will help you have strong muscles and beautifully shaped body. Makes you happy, enthusiastic, sociable and removes your daily stress and depression. Excellent, inspirational, experimental and encouraging event
2200 participants, 18 km distance in only three hours (6:30 – 9:30) means 39,600 km (i.e. per day 316,800 km) completely cost free, fuel free and pollution free,
If each bicycle is improved to move four persons together, the total distance will be 1,267,200 km for 24 hours, which will be completely cost and pollution free.
If 600,000 villages in India provided each with 10 (min) such bicycles/tricycles the total of 1,200,000,000 km (600,000x10 units x 20 persons x 10km) per day will be completely free of cost, fuel and pollution.
Being we are in the New Economy, the need is to think different and implement change.
The population has grown and the vehicles have been multiplied but still no respite or satisfactory transport facilities.
If 2,200 spend just one minute each to read and acknowledge this we can have a rapid revolution with wonderful and exciting solutions.
One minute by 2,200 participants means 36.66 hours (2,200/60) in total
If supported and implemented we can enjoy a great wonder on surface. Thanks

In developed countries it is compulsory that all city /colony roads to have cycle/pedestrian path on both sides of road though the pedestrians/cyclists less numbered than vehicles. If there is no space they will make one way road for vehicles ,but they will not sacrifice pedestrian/cycle path for vehicles. But in India though pedestrians/cyclists are more numbered than vehicles we do not have proper pedestrian/cycle path. If we had this, many people would have not preferred vehicles/public transport etc.,also we would have benefited by energy saving ,good health due to exercise /pollution from noise & air , accidents etc.

whats the main concept of this cycle rally when basic rules are not thought to the kids ? 95% of the kids are not wearing helmet , knee guard elbow guard .. and news tells police commissioner pedaled with his family ..

that's a very nice step from him in participating in the rally but is it the police commissioner carrying his kid along ? is he the police commissioner without any safety gadgets used by him nor to his kid ? what a role model ? if kids are not thought now .. more idiots will fill in our Indian roads .. like how its already filled with ...
