Mangalore, Nov 24: "If the government fails to stop cattle slaughter completely in the state, Bajrangdal will take to streets and the government will be responsible for all that inconveniences and problems that may crop up thereafter," thundered Bajrangdal state convener Mahendra Kumar.

He was speaking at a press conference held in the VHP office here on Thursday November 23.

Commenting on the recent communal violence that rocked the city, he said that the administration has failed to take suitable action against the persons who are responsible for violence.  "A lot of Hindus were attacked and troubled in the areas where Muslims are a majority.  But the administration has failed to take any action against the culprits.  No legal procedures have yet been initiated in this regard.  This clearly states that the present state government is anti-Hindu," he added.

He also said that Bajrangdal and other organizations have organized various religious programmes as part of Datta Jayanti.  Shobhayatre will be held on Sunday December 3 at Chikamagalur.  He further said that the organizations expect better support from the state government for Datta Jayanti celebrations.  "But if the government fails in its responsibility, we would launch state-wide campaign against it," he warned.
