Mangalore, Nov 26: Thieves who broke into a house in Jeppu were nabbed by Pandeshwar police.
The team lead by Venkatesh Prasanna arrested Linganaik (26), Ravi (22), Shiva (20) and Ajay (21) all from Bellary district on Saturday.
The gang entered the house of Ashwat Shetty at 8.30 pm on Friday. Shetty’s mother Yashoda (70) who was in the house was threatened with life. She screamed and this alerted the neighbours who informed the police.
Several police teams were rushed into action and after an intense search for the thieves in public places, bus and train stations, the team of cops in plain clothes arrested one person who was waiting for a bus in the service bus stand.
Based on the information given by him, the cops visited Haleyangady where the other thieves were found working in shop and were arrested.
