Saudi girl child lives with lion, wolf and cheetah

Riyadh, Dec 11 (Agencies) : Although she is only around 10 years old, Madawi Al Anzi of Saudi Arabia lives with a lion, wolf and a cheetah in the same bedroom.

Anzi says she cannot go to bed without those animals, which are aged between three and 18 months. “I love them and cannot sleep without them,” she says.

But Anzi, who has received intensive training by her father to deal with such animals, warns other children against dealing with such animals unless they are trained to do so.

“I consider them as members of my family,” she was quoted as saying by the Saudi Arabic news network Al Arabiya, which did not say where in Saudi Arabia Anzi lives.

All over the world concerns are raised on protecting our environment and wildlife. It is very disturbing to see that a wild animal, which needs to be free in its natural environment, is raised as a pet. We must condemn such practices.

However, this news report almost glorifies such cruel behaviour. What kind of an example we are setting for ourselves? I expected better editing and reporting from Daijiworld!
