LONDON, Nov 29: An English cricket fan has sold off his house so that he can travel to Australia and watch Andrew Flintoff and his boys slug it out at the Ashes.

Allan Fairlie-Clarke, a Scot, lost his job and realized that the only way to go to Australia was to sell off his maisonette in Chelmsford, Essex.

The sale fetched him 180,000 pounds, a report in the English media said on Wednesday.

He has also vowed to go to the match ground every single day of the Test matches.

"I will get to every day of the Tests," The Mirror quoted the 32-year-old as saying.

He said he did not regret his decision to fund his trip by selling off his house despite the humbling defeat England suffered at the hands of Ricky Ponting and his team.

"I didn't have a ticket for the first day at Brisbane but a guy got me one for 60 pounds. I was born in Edinburgh, but when it comes to cricket there isn't much alternative to supporting England, is there?" he said.
