Puttur, Dec 8: The case of the missing student Charan Raj is still shrouded in mystery. The police here are absolutely clueless since there has been no contact from the kidnappers. This has worried the parents and puzzled the police.

The local and Mysore police have sought the help of the crime investigation cell of the Bangalore police. Hence inspector K C Ashokan, who had earlier served as inspector in the rural police station at Sampya here, has arrived from Bangalore to assist in the investigation.

Ashokan's team visited the college and has obtained statements from students, including a female, who have had close associtation with Charan Raj, besides the hostel warden.

When contacted, Ashokan said he had just taken up the investigation and said he could not divulge any details at that stage.
