Kasargod, Dec 26: Our Lady of Dolours Shrine, Bela celebrated Christmas with devotion and grandeur. Entire Shrine was filled with joyful tidings of Christmas.

Scripture Scholar Fr William D’Silva presided over the solemn festal Eucharistic banquet. Deacon Praveen Joy Saldanha broke the word of God and preached on the theme – ‘God has become human to make human beings divine.’

Parish Priest Very Fr Vincent D’Souza blessed the Christmas Crib. This year for the first time in the history of the Bela Shrine ICYM members had prepared one of the biggest cribs of 2000 sq ft. People flocked to see this beautiful Christmas Crib.

Christmas programme was organized at Church premises after the festal mass. Fr Vincent D’Souza released Anitha D’Souza’s Audio CD 'Yaad' comprising nine melodious Konkani songs. This is the first album of Anitha D’Souza, which is produced by Mother Mary Creations.

Anitha D’Souza hails from Bela Parish and she has earned a name in the world of music by singing in more than 500 music albums in 9 languages.

Our Lady of Dolours Shrine Bela Calendar 2015 was released by Fr Vincent D’Souza. Calendar portrays the details of Bela Shrine. Fr Santhosh D’Souza SVD gave away the prizes to all the winners of Christmas competitions held for all children and parishioners.

Santa Claus was the star attraction of the Christmas programme. Christmas Carols, Christmas dances, Christmas Cake Auction, Christmas tree filled with gifts for the parishioners, Christmas Cake and Coffee for all, Lucky Family of Christmas 2014 – all these events doubled the joy of Christmas. Hence Christmas celebration brought joyful tidings at Bela Shrine.
