Mangalore, Dec 15: The death of a school girl in Kudmul Ranga Rao Hostel near PVS has now sparked controversy everywhere. The ministers, MLA and administration who were not bothered about the hostel and its running are paying continuous visits, enquiring about the welfare of students eversince hostelite Bina passed away owing to fever. Moreover, another 20 students are admitted to hospital after being diagnosed as suffering from Malaria.
The Dalit Sangharsh Samiti has now taken the issue to another level. They have locked up the office of social welfare officer on Friday December 15 morning and asked the administration to give utmost priority to the welfare of the students in the said hostel.
They have also demanded the government to distribute compensation to the family of deceased Bina and have also asked to transfer ZP official, social welfare officer and doctor of Wenlock Hospital who they claim that were negligent in Bina's case.
