Mangalore, Dec 20: The MNOA Ball was held at Hotel Taj Manjarun on Sunday December 17 evening. The event was organized by Merchant Navy Officers' Association (MNOA).
It was after a long gap of 10 years that MNOA had organized ball. Around 100 couples participated in the MNOA ball and spent time with the extended family of MNOA.
The highlight of the evening was the crowning of 'Mer-king' and 'Mer-queen' by Mermaid. Alec and Claudette Fernandes were chosen as the winners of the evening.
The get-together was aimed at bringing together seafarer families spread in and around the city and the overwhelming response clearly said that the organizers succeed in their goal. The gathering also saw Mangalorean seafarer families bonding more closely and having a whale of joyous time together.
