Narsinghpur (MP), Dec 22: Reiterating his commitment to temple construction over Ayodhya's Ram janmabhoomi, Sharda Peeth Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swaroopananda Saraswati on Thursday clarified that he had never said a word about a mosque being built simultaneously.
"If a mosque has to be built, there should be enough distance between the two religious structures so that the temple's bells and the muezzin's call do not disturb each other," he told UNI at this district's Jyoteshwar Ashram.
Accusing Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas (trust) Member Ramvilas Vedanti of indulging in propaganda, the seer added that Hindu sentiments were certainly not being played around with.
"A permanent solution will be arrived at only through a mutual understanding," he added.
