Udupi, Jan 18: Sarojini P Acharya (56), wife of K P Acharya, who happens to be the promoter of Vidyaniketean group of educational institutions in Kaup, breathed her last due to illness on Saturday January 17 at Bengaluru. She was undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Bengaluru.
Sarojini is survived by husband, K P Acharya, and a daughter. In her honour, holiday has been declared for Vidyaniketan group of educational institutions on Monday January 19.
District in-charge minister, Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MLA, U R Sabhapathy, JDS district president, Dr Deviprasad Shetty, Vidyanikeetan Education Foundation chief administrative officer, Prof V K Udyavar, Principal, Kirshna Rao, and scores of others have mourned her untimely death.
