Woman holds world record for giving birth to twins at age 70

An elderly couple in Uttar Pradesh, India, has a six-year-old son. In 2008, aged 70, the woman became the oldest in the world to give birth to twins – a boy and girl.

The girl, however, passed away four years later, reported Metro.

Today, the 76-year-old old woman along with her octogenarian husband is busy bringing up their youngest child. The couple has two older daughters and five grandchildren.

She had to face a lot of criticism from community for giving birth at such advanced age. But, she says, there are some women who help her now, without judging her.

She admits she cannot run around and keep pace with the energetic lad. She wishes the boy grows up fast so they can see him get married. But, she quickly adds, that she is not worried because after her death her daughter will take care of him.

    Hope we do not have any more like her. If she cannot take care of her children why give birth? Besides she already has kids. Govt needs to take strict action against these kind of irresponsible people.

    Just Ask the feeling of a couple who don't have children at all after having lots of wealth and what we call latest technology. Then your view will be different.

    this lady is not childless but already has kids. We need responsible people and not irresponsible ones. It would have been justified if she was childless but this is not clearly the case. Thanks to these kind of people our nation would soon earn the dubious distinction of having the world's largest population. How would our govt feed or provide employment to such a large number given the steady decline in the availability of resources? People themselves need to be responsible for the kids they give birth.

    government or governor has no right over any body's life.
    Almighty who can give and take both.
    India's top business man had filthy of wealth but no offspring.

    Don't bring almighty into the process of making kids. Don't you take tablets tablets to cure yourself of God given sickness? God has given us a mind to think and take the right action. Also just look and learn from the actions of the Chinese govt where 1child policy is strictly implemented.
