Mangalore, Dec 29: The 'Granthaavalokana' or review of Suvarna Karnataka Darshana, a book published as a souvenir of the state's golden jubilee celebrations, will be held on Sunday December 31 at Sharada Vidyalaya School here at 9.30 am.

Chief editor K Anantharam Rao while speaking to press persons here on Thursday December 28 said that the book has various details related to the state like agriculture, banking, investment and other important information. The book will also be distributed to government schools in various parts of the state.

Anantharam said that the souvenir was released by Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswami at Bangalore on November 16 and he had appreciated the work.

Karnataka Bank Mangalore president Anantha Krishna will preside over the function. Granthavolakana will be done by Mangalore University head of the department of Kannada Dr K Chanappa Gowda.

The chief guest of the programme will be MLA Yogish Bhat, south zone inspector general of police H N Satyanarayan Rao, Corporation Bank executive director Gopal Krishna, public education department deputy director Shankarappa K A S, Century Industries Bangalore managing director Dayananda Pai, Kannada Sahitya Parishad former president Harikrishna Punaroor, Sharada Vidyalaya School president Prof M B Puranik and entrepreneur M Sunder Shetty.

Century Industries Bangalore managing director Dayananda Pai, Madhuvan Graphics manager Prasad, and senior advocate V K Kalkura were present at the press meet.
