Mangaluru, Jan 26: To mark Republic Day celebration, 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' was conducted at the Mangaluru court premises here on Monday January 26.

After the formal function S P Chengappa, president of Bar council thanked all the dignitaries for taking part in the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' programme and said, "Our father of nation Mahatma Gandhi always dreamt of a clean India. Our Prime minister also has a vision of clean India. In this direction, we have all gathered here for a cause. I thank A C Vinayaraj, corporator of this region for giving all the support to make this programme a success ".

Uma M G, district and sessions Judge, Dakshina Kannada spoke on the occasion and said "On this auspicious Republic Day celebration, we have joined here for a good cause. To have a clean heart we need to keep our surrounding clean. People come here for their problems and it is our responsibility to keep the court premises clean. As a responsible citizen of this nation, we all have to work towards a clean India and this should start from the court premises. I wish that the court premises become an example for cleanliness in whole Mangaluru city".
