Kundapur: Bus-Omni accident - several injured

Kundapur, Jan 28: Several persons returning after visiting Goddess Mookambika Temple at Kollur inthe taluk were injured, after the Maruti Omni vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a private bus near Halkal Bridge in Jadkal village on Tuesday January 27.

The pilgrims in the van are from Kamakshipalya in Bengaluru. They were proceeding to Murdeshwar in Uttara Kannada district when the accident happened. The bus was moving towards Byndoor from Kollur.

Chandrashekhar (38), Srinivas (34), and Ratnamma (24), all from Kamakshipalya in Bengaluru as well as Alamelamma (65) from Sunkatte were injured in this accident. All of them stand admitted in a hospital here.

A case stands registered in Kollur police station in this regard.
