Mumbai, Jan 6: Mumbai's reputation as one of the safest cities for women has been dented as three incidents of molestation have been reported in last few days.

A young woman was molested at Mumbai's Gateway of India on new year's eve, a foreigner was harassed at the Prince of Wales museum on Thursday and a third woman was molested by a constable on the same day.

These incidents have now come to symbolise the city.

"Women are never safe anywhere. They are always thought of as objects," said a woman.

"We are constantly worried that what happened at the Gateway it might happen to us," said another woman.

Barely five days after the Gateway incident more cases of women being harassed were reported.

On Thursday, a constable from Azad Maidan police station was arrested on charges of molestation. On the same day an American tourist was molested by a 15-year-old boy inside the Prince of Wales museum.

A lot of women have their own story to tell but most cases of harassment go unreported.
