St Joseph's mechanical engineering dept gets Karnataka fund award

Mangaluru, Feb 4: The Department of Mechanical Engineering at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor has been awarded the Karnataka Fund for Infrastructure Strengthening in Science and Technology in Higher Educational Institutions (K-FIST) grant (Level -1) of Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST).

The award results in a total institutional grant of Rs 20 Lacs in two annual instalments of 10 Lacs.

The grant has been awarded to the project submitted by Dr Raju K, HOD - Mechanical Engineering, who is the Programme Coordinator for the work titled: "Effect of Alloying Elements and Process Variables on the properties of Al-Si alloys produced by spray forming".
