Five killed in US shooting


Washington, Feb 8 (IANS): A shooting in the US state of Georgia has left five people dead, media reports said Saturday.

Five victims, including children, were found when police were called to the scene, located at Willow Tree Circle in suburban Atlanta county of Douglasville, around 3 p.m. Saturday, WXIA-TV Atlanta quoted Douglasville county sheriff's Glenn Daniel as saying, according to Xinhua.

The shooter was found injured and was transported to a hospital, the report said.

The victims were found lying on the street and inside a home.

Neighbours who identified the shooter's sister as she was being escorted by police said she repeatedly yelled: "My brother should have never had a gun," WSB-TV Atlanta reported.

The motive behind the shooting has not been determined.
