Udupi, Feb 11: K Vyasa Rao (70), former trustee, Kunjooru Sri Durga Temple, retired bank manager of Syndicate Bank, and senior BJP activist, passed away on Tuesday February 10, after a brief illness.

He leaves behind his wife, two sons, and two daughters.

After retiring from the bank, he served as president of Kaup Bharathi Credit Sauharda Co-operative, and later started Kaup Akshayadhara Credit Sauharda Co-operative and served as its president.

He was a member of Kunjooru Sri Durga Temple management committee and was one of the founders of Paniyooru Ganeshotsava committee besides being the honorary president of the committee.
