Mangaluru, Sep 16: Members of the Christian community, led by the Nationalist Christian Forum, visited Sanghaniketan in Mangaluru on Wednesday to extend greetings and participate in the 79th annual public Ganeshotsav organised under the aegis of Keshav Smriti Samvardhan Trust (R).
The delegation arrived at Sanghaniketan and held an interaction with senior RSS functionaries at the organisation’s office on national issues and social concerns. Later the delegation proceeded to the auditorium, where members exchanged bouquets at the main entrance.






The delegation then offered flowers and fruits at the shrine of Lord Ganesha and participated in breakfast along with senior members of the organisation and media representatives.
The delegation was led by CA Daniel Marsh Pereira, president of the CA Association, Mangaluru. Those who participated included Dr Alwyn D'Sa, Maxim Crasta, Notary Lany Pinto, Zeeta Moras advocate, Reshma D'Souza, Naveen Fernandes, Arun D'Souza of Kulshekar, Cynthia Moras, Romeo Fernandes, Naveen D'Almeida, Evert D'Souza, Pravin Coutinho, Sandeep D'Souza, Vinod Pinto, Juliana Moras, Praveen Tauro and Urban D'Souza Kadekar.
As part of the programme, the parents of Major Pearl Fiona Fernandes, who is serving in the Indian Army, and Sub-Lieutenant Nishel D’Almeida, who has been appointed to the Indian Navy, were felicitated. District-level Best Teacher Award recipient Praveen Coutinho of St Aloysius High School was also honoured.
