Mangaluru, Feb 13: A final notification about the creation of 29 new gram panchayats and villages falling within their jurisdiction has been issued. Those adversely affected by the notification are free to file appeals with the regional commissioner, Mysuru, within 30 days from the date of this notification.

In Mangaluru taluk, Valpady, Mallur, Iruvail, Muttur, Athikaribettu, Badaga Yedapadavu and Kondemoola are the newly proposed gram panchayats.

In Bantwal taluk, Ammunje, Sajipa Padu, Kallige, Peraje, Salethur, Barimaru, Maninalkur, Manila, Arala, Iruvathur, Bolanthoor and Netlamudnoor have been proposed to be carved as new gram panchayats.

Navoor,Kalanja, Tekkar, Sulkeri, and Kadirudyavara happen to be the proposed new gram panchayats in Beltangady taluk.

In Puttur, Kodippady, Nidpalli, Keyyur, and Konaje have been proposed to become new gram panchayats while Sullia taluk proposes to have Peruvaje as a new gram panchayat, informed district deputy commissioner, A B Ibrahim, through a release.
