Kasargod: Woman dies, five others injured in bike collision

Kasargod, Feb 14: A woman died and five others were injured in a tragic accident when three bikes collided at Povval in Adooru police station limits on Thursday night, February 12.

The deceased has been identified as Sullia Ajjavara resident Mohammed Kunhi's wife Juhara(29). Mohammed Kunhi escaped unhurt. Five other injured bike riders were Bovikkana resident Sabith (21), Suhail (18), Povval Nellikatte resident Ameer (21), Povval resident Zubair (18) and Mashood (18). They have been admitted in hospital.

The accident occurred when a bike lost control and hit two other bikes. Juhara was thrown on the road in the impact and sustained serious head injuries. She was rushed to the Mangaluru hospital but her life could not be saved.

It is learnt that she was on her way from Sullia to Cherooru to visit her aunt.

The dead body was handed over to her relatives after post mortem in Kasargod general hospital.
